Palheiro, Funchal

Set against Madeira’s dramatic landscape, this bespoke residence combines traditional architectural character with modern comfort. Its terracotta roof, warm façade, grey detailing and elegant arched entrances create a timeless aesthetic, while the generous veranda and balconies offer inviting spaces to enjoy the surrounding scenery.

Inside, bright, open spaces are complemented by exposed ceiling beams, natural timber flooring and carefully selected finishes. The contemporary kitchen introduces a striking contrast with its dark cabinetry and clean lines, while the bathrooms and other interior details balance understated design with everyday practicality.

From the structural work required by the sloping terrain to the finishing touches throughout, this project reflects Fator’s commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, creating a distinctive home that brings traditional influences together with contemporary living.
